The Women Marines Association (WMA)is reaching out to
locate women who now serve or have served in the United States Marine Corps from 1918 to today!

Molly Marine Statue
 
Dedicated in 1943, Molly Marine, the first statue of a military woman erected in the United States stands on the corner of Elk Place and Canal Street in new Orleans, LA.  A duplicate of the Molly Marine statue is located at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC.  The third likeness of the statue, dedicated on september 2, 2000 during the 40th Anniversary of the women Marines Association Convention, is found near the entrance of the marine Corps Research Center, Marine corps Combat Development Command, Quantico, Va.  These statues recognize the women who have earned the title Marine.
